• Recreational Level - Beginner

This is the beginning level of artistic swimming. Your child will learn the basics of the sport including “skulling” (floating on top of the water) and “egg beaters” (staying upright in the water). We will work on water fitness and breath control while having FUN ! Rec beginner swimmers usually meet once a week for 1 hour of pool practice.

  • RECREATIONAL LEVEL - ADVANCED

Swimmers who have mastered the basics in beginner Rec are invited to move up to more advanced practice. In this group, we begin working on more advanced figures such as “front pike” and “Barracuda” This is where a swimmer will begin to develop the skills to enter the competitive pipeline. The conditioning, strength and water fitness practices pick up a little bit in intensity to prepare athletes to achieve their best and move up to the next level. Rec Advanced swimmers meet two times a week for an hour in the pool (levels determined by coaches and families in agreement with the athlete’s goals). They can also choose to add the optional land practice for an additional hour a week.
